NY Aquarium Suggested Donation Fridays

On October 29, 2012 hurricane Sandy hit NYC and caused major destruction at the NY Aquarium.  Since that time, the NY Aquarium has embarked on a massive rebuilding effort.  The aquarium was closed for more than half a year until they opened with limited exhibits.  Currently, the aquarium has several sections still under construction.  You can check out their website (listed below) for up to date information.

One thing to note: They are still offering their 'Pay what you wish' admission times on Friday from 4-5pm!

The aquarium is right next door to the famous Coney Island amusement park, so you may want to ride the Cyclone or Wonder Wheel before or after your visit.

Find more info here: http://www.nyaquarium.com/

The price is suggested donation on Friday, and they suggest you pay a minimum of $5 for adults.  We suggest you do too unless you aren't able to, then you should pay what you can.  But keep the dolphins in mind when making this decision!

The suggested donation times start every Friday at 4pm until they close during the summer (starting 3pm during Fall/Winter/Spring).
