NYC Unicycle Festival
Posted on August 9, 2011

The second ever NYC Unicycle Festival - also known as Unifest NYC - is being held at Governors Island this September.  Last year, the first festival was a huge success and this year promises to be even better.  With top notch unicyclists flying in from around the world, this is the place to be if you are a one-wheel enthusiast (or have any interest in becoming one.)

The festival boasts a 'Learn to Unicycle' area where the the curious and adventurous can feel what it's like to balance atop one wheel.  Games for unicyclists are plenty, with hockey and basketball being played as well as an obstacle course to test your skills.

You can check out more about the festival at their website: NYC Unicycle Festival

The festival is FREE for all participants and observers.

The main date is Saturday, September 2, 2011 when they have all the activities on Governors Island.  They are also having a ride through Brooklyn on Friday and a gathering at Grants Tomb on Sunday for the hardcore.
