Brooklyn Museum is brooklyns answer to Manhattans stanglehold on world class museums.  It houses permanent collections that are world renowned as well as top tier exhibitions.  The museum also hosts Target First Saturdays, the free series of events featuring concerts, free museum entrance, and wine and crackers.  The museum is located right next to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and also a stones throw away from Prospect Park.  The Brooklyn Zoo is right around the corner also, making this a cultural mecca in the heart of Brooklyn.
